**Description**
L. Knife & Son has an excellent full-time opportunity in our warehouse department with great benefits.
We are looking to fill a Warehouse Custodian position for our first shift warehouse department. This position is a hands-on, entry level role that will provide you valuable knowledge and experience in the beverage and distribution industry. This individual is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of our facility.
We are looking for an energetic individual with a strong work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility to join and contribute to our team. Shift runs first shift Monday through Friday. Prior custodian/warehouse experience is not required for this position. Entry level candidates with minimal experience are encouraged to apply.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**
* Maintain our facility to meet standards
* Sweep and mop warehouse floors daily
* Clean offices, bathrooms, stairwells and other work areas
* Sweep areas around entrances and the building's exterior
* Snow removal around building's entrances
* Perform minor maintenance including replacing light bulbs, replenish bathroom supplies and painting
* Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers
* Perform related duties as required
**Requirements**
* Enthusiastic, high energy, and self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
* Must have strong attention to detail
* Cleaning and/or warehouse maintenance experience preferred but not required
* Daily, punctual attendance is a requirement
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
* Ability to meet physical demands of job
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of the job (accommodations due to disability or religious reasons will be evaluated in compliance with the law).
All candidates considered will have a background check, pre-employment drug screen, a physical exam, and must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
**EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
* Two wheeled hand truck
* Electric and hydraulic pallet jack
* Powered floor scrubber
**CRITICAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**
* Walking and climbing steps and stairs on an occasional basis
* Two handed lifting, handling, carrying products and pallets from floor to overhead on a frequent basis
* Pushing and pulling two wheeled hand truck with cases on level surfaces on a frequent basis
* Pushing and pulling pallet jacks with cases and/or barrels on level surfaces on an occasional basis
