Our Customer Innovation Center (CIC) sits at the heart of this innovation, with a dedicated 9,000 sq. ft laboratory and prototyping facility and team of scientists and engineers focused exclusively on first of a kind engineered solutions. CIC Project Engineers are the face of Mott with customers in challenging industries such as Healthcare & Pharma, Space Exploration, Specialty Chemical, and Semiconductor manufacturing, demonstrating Mott’s technical excellence through on time delivery of first of a kind prototypes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution : Manage multiple projects concurrently with safety as a priority, thorough completion of all necessary documentation and proactive communication of project risks.
Subject matter expert (SME):
Be the internal SME for all Semiconductor development opportunities and the external “face of Mott” for key customers.
Qualify New Products : Lead projects to design, build and qualify new filters, diffusers, and flow control devices, etc. per customer specific and semiconductor industry standards.
Win new business : Support or lead commercial team in pre-sale calls, build credibility and relationships with customer contacts, write project proposals for Engineered Solutions projects and close business
Customers and vendors lack understanding and standards pertaining to porous metal.
Understanding technical benefits and limitations of new and novel filtration and flow control products produced by Mott.
Understanding the differences in platforms and qualification processes of each major Semiconductor customer
Transferring qualified, repeat product to Production
Working with leading edge customers and vendors who continuously challenge the norm.
Navigating a rapidly growing organization.
Expected Performance Outcomes:
Required Experience:
Deliver $2 - 3M/year worth of projects with OTOC >85%
Transfer 3 new designs to Production annually.
Maintain project costs within 10% of estimated budget.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Material Science Engineering
7+ years industry specific experience. Knowledge of Semiconductor Qualification Processes is a must.
Can provide evidence of successful project management.
Technical Knowledge/Skills:
Personal Attributes:
Mastery of industry specifications, quality programs, systems, processes and design considerations.
Expert level understanding of filtration, compaction, sintering, welding, design of machined parts and design for manufacturability. Including GD&T, 3D modeling and 2D drawing requirements.
Excellent planning, project management, customer facing and communication skills.
