Back Security Guard #100203 Reference #: 5001116114006 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States Part-Time Shift Weekends Work Schedule 11p-730a Sat & Sun Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license Experience in security preferred Security is Responsible for: Contacting Police/Fire/Rescue Squad (via 911) Contacting Nursing Supervisor/Charge Nurse (via push to talk) Calling Health Services (M-F, 8am to 4:30pm) Ensuring Fire Rescue Squad is escorted to the scene of the emergency (This includes driving over grass if necessary to reach accessible door to unit) Notifying unit nurse Remaining on location until client has been removed to hospital or all is clear Completing all required documentation (incident report/log entries) after Medical Personnel has taken over Duties: Reviewing a logbook at the beginning of each shift for prior activities, updates and or pertinent information Directing and assisting authorized visitors, family members, bus drivers, etc...to various locations as required Maintaining daily logbook on all incidents, sick calls, etc, and recording on required reports and patrol log and/or telephone appropriate supervisors Completing designated forms accurately and concisely Dispensing/retrieving keys, mobile phones and or gas cards as needed to authorized Merakey Drivers Monitoring Siemens Alarm System Calling monitoring Company when the alarm system is bypassed and for testing Alerting building of malfunction and placing on fire watch Escorting emergency vehicles -Police-Fire- or ambulance to locations on grounds and assisting as necessary Answering phones, relaying pertinent information to various departments Contacting the Facility Supervisor of Emergency/Urgent Maintenance issues If there is no response, contacting Facility Manager Documenting all calls and actions taken in the logbook Walking through all buildings periodically to check for safety, mechanical and security-related problems (8-4, 4-12, and 12a-8a.) Patrolling/touring interior and exterior of all Residential and Administrative buildings, and Parking Lot Transporting clients and staff to work, hospitals, medical office and other areas, including vehicle breakdown transportation, requested by management during evenings, weekends, holidays and whenever the transportation department is unavailable Logging all trips in the logbook Completing a vehicle form for all trips Transporting clients who are off grounds on trips and become disruptive and unmanageable back to their residence at the Verree Road Campus (only for extreme emergencies and when there are 2 Security Guards on Duty) Searching of grounds, buildings highways, area stores and malls for missing clients Filing Missing Persons report with Police Department in a reasonable time frame Being the Communications Center during emergency or catastrophe; relating information- calling required staff- MAKING SURE ALERT LIST IS CALLED and necessary agencies Directing and assisting in evacuation of clients and staff during emergencies Checking all fire extinguishers in assigned buildings each month and logging Collecting emptied fire extinguishers, and oxygen tanks for refilling, and replacing with full ones Unlocking & unchaining building entrance doors and offices when staff has gone for the day in non-residential buildings (6am) Securing building entrance doors to Residential buildings (9pm) Locking exterior gates at 6pm and opening at 6am excluding inclement weather-snow/ce, gates will remain opened Cutting off locks for doors and lockers for various reasons as authorized Issuing/retrieving keys, access identification cards to employees as required Conducting Fire Drills at various times in buildings each month per DOH, according to schedule Documenting in logbook and required forms Forwarding a copy to appropriate departments Enforcing parking and driving regulations and directing traffic to various parking areas for major meetings/events and work being done on grounds Issuing tickets/notices/citations to people parking in unauthorized areas Forwarding a copy to Facility Manager and Supervisor Benefits: Merakey offers medical, dental - vision insurance plans, competitive compensation plans and more DailyPay Work/Life Balance Flexible Schedules Cell Phone Discount Plans Employee Referral Bonuses Tuition Reimbursement Care.com Membership About Merakey: Merakey is a non-profit provider of developmental, behavioral health, and education services.
