Position Summary:

The Universal Banker - Floater responsibilities include, accountable for performing teller transactions and greeting, servicing, and selling to customers on the branch platform. Open accounts for members, resolve issues, and professionally handle the member's daily needs. Universal Banker - Floater, must be able to interact with customers in a professional and knowledgeable manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Processing transactions accurately and efficiently to build customer confidence and trust, based on established policies and procedures.
  • Providing proactive sales activities of Carver's traditional bank products and Carver's Community Cash products while referring requests (e.g., complex small business accounts or mortgages) to an associate with more in-depth expertise.
  • Establishing, retaining, and deepening relationships with branch customers and potential customers to achieve team sales goals and provide quality customer service.
  • Process customer transactions with accuracy.
  • Balance cash drawer with minimal differences.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of branch settlement.
  • Acquire New Clients - Demonstrate growth by acquiring new customers thru outbound calling, engaging customers, and following thru on teller referrals.
  • Cross sell - additional products and services to existing customers. Promote alternate channel delivery.
  • (Online Banking, Debit Card, ATM) making day-to-day banking more convenient for customers.
  • Complete account opening process ensuring appropriate ID is obtained, signature cards completed.
  • Fulfill customer service requests to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Responsible for performing duties related to the Bank's Customer Survey Program, including contributing toward the achievement of maximum customer satisfaction and the highest branch ratings.

  • Microsoft Excel and Word experience preferred
Skills Necessary:
  • Ability to make sound judgments based on information provided
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Computer Savvy
  • Must be customer-focused
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work with numbers quickly and accurately
  • Basic Accounting knowledge a plus
Background and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years or more in sales position experience
  • Prior experience working with the general public
  • Strong customer service or cash handling experience
  • Knowledge of various bank products and services
  • Notary of Public preferred
