Overview

Job Summary The Project Manager is responsible for setting schedules, preparing budgets, hiring/supervising vendors, contractors, and team members, and adhering to administrative procedures to keep capital projects on deadline and within budget. Project manager also assists in general engineering and maintenance duties as well as managing projects. Responsibilities

Assist in general engineering and maintenance work duties. Review project drawings and specifications. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility. Prepare estimates, budgets, and schedules. Ensure resource availability and allocation. Develop a detailed project plan to track progress. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques. Report and escalate to management as needed. Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Monitor quality, production and safety. Initiate MOCs and other documentation for the project life cycle process. Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications Education and Experience

Engineering Degree required, PMP certification is a plus. Valid Driver’s License TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials) for access to IMTT’s terminal locations.

Skills and Abilities

Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in the English language. Ability to understand written and verbal communication in the English language. Ability to make decisions in a variable environment. Must possess excellent external and internal communication skills, written and verbal communications. Ability to work with dynamic personalities.

Knowledge

7-10 years’ experience managing projects in the liquid terminal industry, refining, industry or related areas. EAM, Microsoft Projects, Word, Excel, Capbase Ability to manage numerous and varied projects in a frequently changing work environment.

Hours of Work Typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position requires overtime and occasional weekend work as job duties demand. Occasional travel over 25% may be necessary, sometimes with little or no advance notice Physical and Environmental Demand The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
