Job Title Senior Software Development Engineer What does a successful Senior Software Development Engineer do at Fiserv? You'll be a part of the engineering team building the Commerce Hub platform that's built to deliver innovations through simple, fast integrations. With developer-friendly, flexible communication standards, unified APIs, and pre-certified integrations, the Commerce Hub reduces development time and accelerates speed to market. What you will do: Design software solutions in the real-time payment domain. Design, develop microservices for highly efficient protocol translation and enrichment with reactive design patterns. Develop high throughput and high-volume transaction APIs that can be consumed by omni channel platforms. Enhance API solutions to offer simple, easy to consume APIs for payment customers. Participate in development of roadmap and strategies for documenting and presenting API specifications in an easy and consumable format. Develop roadmap and strategies to provide Client Libraries and SDKs for API products. Analyze complex processes and technological heterogenic applications. What you will need to have: 7+ years of industry experience in Java, GIT, JIRA, Maven, Confluence, Spring framework (Core, MVC, AOP, Java NIO). 5+ years of experience in the Spring Boot framework. 5+ years of experience with Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring Transactional, and Spring Batch. 5+ years of experience creating unit tests using JUnit or Mockito. 5+ years of experience with databases and code integrations such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL. 5+ years of experience implementing complex full-stack solutions, including digital and mobile systems, APIs, and microservices in large enterprise organizations. 2+ years of experience in Agile methodology and the payments industry. Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, military, or work experience. What would be great to have: Experience in PCF, a related cloud platform, or API Management. Experience in implementing high-volume transaction processing applications. Experience using quality and security scan tools such as Sonar, Fortify, and Web Inspect. Experience with integration testing of APIs using Postman, JMeter, etc. Important info about this role: We’re better together. This role is fully on-site in the Berkely Heights, NJ.
