Job DescriptionJob Description

PURPOSE

To improve and enhance the maintenance of our material supply orders in alignment with our demand profile and in accordance with our inventory, logistics, and production strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Ensure material and component availability to support the sales and production schedules.

Understand and manage all elements of supply and demand to meet on-time deliveries in support of company inventory objectives.

Expedite critical or past due orders and revise purchase orders dates.

Maintain system data accuracy, including lead-time, order minimums, supplier information, and current purchase order data.

Participate in initiatives to reduce the overall lead time, improve delivery performance, and attain optimal inventory utilization.

Collaborate with Quality Personnel to track defective product and to communicate and monitor internal and external corrective actions.

Provide back-up support for supply chain functions including Purchasing, Logistics, Production Scheduling, and other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Planning and organizing, attention to detail, negotiation, problem solving, communication, teamwork, results oriented, Ability to calculate figures and amounts (discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume)

EDUCATION , TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field

3-5 years total work experience including at least 2-3 years' experience in procurement, supply chain and inventory control

Procurement and sourcing experience related to raw materials supporting manufacturing operations
