Pharmacist - Closed door pharmacy Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our closed-door pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing drug information, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role does not involve direct patient interaction but focuses on supporting healthcare providers and ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication distribution. Key Responsibilities: Medication Dispensing: Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions and ensure proper labeling and packaging.Medication Review: Conduct thorough reviews of medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.Inventory Management: Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing medications.Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, nursing staff, and other team members to ensure optimal medication therapy management.Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to enhance pharmacy operations and patient safety.Education and Training: Provide drug information and education to healthcare providers and pharmacy staff as needed. Qualifications: Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.Licensure: Valid pharmacist license in the state of Virginia Experience: Previous experience in a closed-door or institutional pharmacy setting is preferred.Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and regulatory requirements.About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
