Key Responsibilities: Focus Area: Develop products and enhancements to help with the execution of engineering strategies, plans, and programs consistent with departmental goalsFocus Area: Lead design, costing, prototyping, testing, validation and verification activities, ensuring adequate Engineering governanceFocus Area: Assist in the evaluation and documentation of risks and safety issues pertinent to the full product lifecycle - including manufacture, assembly, handling, transport, commissioning, operation, maintenance, disassembly, decommissioning and disposal of slurry pumpsFocus Area: Collaborate with other engineers and designers to prepare conceptual sketches, 3D models and assemblies, detailed drawings and design data/informationSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Engineering Degree, Mechanical emphasis7-10 years of relative experienceCAD and GPDM experienceExperience working in a production/manufacturing environment and/or with slurry pumps is preferredFounded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
