Job DescriptionJob Description

The incumbent manages sourcing, selecting, procurement, and negotiating materials, services, equipment, and supplies from suppliers. The incumbent also manages compliance to the site purchasing policy and procedures and monitors quality of goods by reviewing cost, schedules, timeliness of delivery and conformance to specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Identify and execute for our two US Sites Pennsville and Irvine savings projects, mainly in scope are following indirect procurement categories: Production Equipment, Facility Management, Maintenance Repair Operations and Laboratory

Collaborate and active exchange with Site Procurement & Global Category Leaders on strategy development and lead/support global and local procurement initiatives for indirect categories

Improve Siegfrieds cost position year on year

Support of project teams in terms of identification, negotiation, evaluation, contract agreement and management of external service providers to assure quality, time and costs

Build productive relationships with key internal stakeholders to understand business needs and implement productivity solutions

Manage supplier relationships including establishing KPIs, conducting business reviews, resolving conflicts, and serve as plant representative in dealings with suppliers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Engineering, Procurement, or Supply Chain

Track record: minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing of indirect categories

Very good communication & negotiation skills

Strategic thinking, competence in analysing and managing complex business situations

Strong team building & networking capability

Problem solver with ability to work in growing and changing environment

Industry experience with preference in pharma/ chemistry

Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system.

Must have strong negotiation skills
