Job Description: Cigna Network Academy is an intensive multi-week (June-August) training program designed for early career hires, focused on developing business acumen, negotiation, and relationship building skills required to quickly onboard and contribute to Cigna’s focus on high quality, affordable Healthcare.

[ads1] Job Responsibilities:

Understand the dynamics of provider networks. Support strategic positioning for provider contracting, assist in the development of networks and help to identify opportunities for greater value-orientation.

Be a team player. Work closely with a variety of internal and external individuals to accomplish your goals, including your Manager, Claims Operations, Medical Management, Legal, Medical

Economics, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, and Provider Relations.

Understand the interrelationships and competitive landscape of the providers in your geographic area.

Establish, develop, and maintain relationships. Within your assigned market, you’ll be expected to cultivate relationships with providers, both current and prospective.

You will build and maintain relationships that nurture provider partnerships to support the local market strategy.

Participate in contract negotiations. Negotiate contracts with current and potential providers.

Job Requirements:

Exceptional work ethic, willing and eagerness to succeed – a proven self-starter

Preferred majors and/or minors: Business, Risk Management, Healthcare Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Accounting

Willing and able to take initiative and is results-oriented

Willing and able to relocate to hiring territory in U.S.

Prefer a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Highly motivated, confident, energetic, and positive attitude

Strong communication and presentation skills, along with listening ability

Effective critical thinking, problem-solving and influencing skills

A high degree of honesty and integrity

Strong analytic skills and financial acumen

Ability to collaborate with others

Senior in a Baccalaureate Program, graduating no later than May 2022 or a Bachelor’s degree with no more than 3 years of work experience post-graduation.
