Jr. Purchasing Agent To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Jr. Purchasing Agent in USA, Dallas Tx. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, Jr. Purchasing Agent is responsible for the purchase of materials and services according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures. What a typical day looks like: Purchases goods and services according to the company's policies and procedures. Utilizes ERP exception reporting to maintain inventory levels on stock items. Research vendors and collect pricing, quotes, specifications, and other data related to goods and services; update database as needed to ensure accurate pricing of goods and services. Creates and issues purchase orders in a timely manner and without error. Processes stock order transfers for job kitting requests in ERP System. Review invoices from vendors for accuracy; resolve any issues that arise. Obtain lead times from suppliers and update ERP System with PO ETA. Follow up with suppliers and vendors regarding lead times and shipping delays and communicate with internal teams (shipping and receiving, project management, etc.) Request SKU creation, SKU updates, and SKU reactivation for items within the ERP System. Works with other departments, including engineering and estimating, for sourcing and cutsheet support Performs other related duties as assigned. The experience we're looking to add to our team: Associates degree in a related field required. At least 1-3 years of purchasing experience required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven vendor relationship and negotiation skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies. General understanding of Supply Chain and Inventory Management policies and procedures Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. What the physical requirements are: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
