The Senior Technical Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing large-scale capital technology projects supporting the One Network Program across multiple agencies and secretariats. Reporting to the Enterprise PMO Director and collaborating with the PMO Director and Director of Enterprise Technology Planning and Logistics, the incumbent will ensure the success of these projects by maintaining proper structure, alignment with goals, and adherence to timelines and budgets. The role involves strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and project performance reporting. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact for the implementation of MEP systems and the high-level design of the facility converged network. Lead procurement activities related to network IT planning, including maintenance contract renewals and new hardware/software acquisitions. Create and maintain project documentation for tactical planning and communication, and develop high-level presentations for executive-level stakeholders. Elicit and translate business requirements into technical specifications, documenting Scope, Use Cases/User Stories, and other relevant documentation. Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, project checklists, and budgets aligned with available financing and staffing availability. Facilitate project team meetings, manage project risks, issues, and changes, and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks. Conduct post-project retrospectives to assess goal achievement and identify areas for improvement. Preferred Qualifications: 5-8 years of experience in project management, preferably supporting complex, cross-functional IT and network implementation projects; construction project management experience is a plus. Familiarity with information technology concepts, systems, networks, and solutions. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences. Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction and meet established timelines. Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of project governance frameworks and best practices. Experience in a government or public sector environment is advantageous. PMP Certification or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
