Maintenance Technician I/II

Maintenance Technician The City of Bainbridge Island is seeking candidates for the position of Maintenance Technician. This role will be filled as either Maintenance Technician I or Maintenance Technician II, depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. We are looking for candidates with experience in public sector, residential or commercial construction; facilities repair and maintenance experience; experience operating heavy equipment; a willingness to learn; and a positive attitude. Maintenance Technicians perform operation, construction, maintenance and repair work for the City's streets and facilities. Maintenance Technician I: entry level position responsible for performing routine work, assigned to a specific section of the division, and may be cross-trained to work in one or more areas as required. Maintenance Technician II: skilled, journey level position responsible for performing more complex work, and may be cross-trained to work in one or more areas as required.
