Job Description Job Description Strengthen agency's fund-raising capacity Establish a strategized giving program that focuses on engaging existing donors, contacting and engaging new prospectsEstablish personal relationships with donors, identifying their interests and educating them about JFCS programs that would appeal to themPersonally solicit 100 - 150 prospects with an emphasis on leadership level annual gifts at $1,000 and aboveDevelop and implement donor recognition programWork with and support the Board of Directors in their stewardship of specific donorsPlan and execute Legacy Society events for donorsProvide team support for the activities and events sponsored by the Development Department Donor stewardship and solicitation of major donors, prospects and Legacy Society membersEnsure compliance with all agency policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and the release of Protected Heath Information (PHI) as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).Support the CEO in the implementation of the annual fundraising planWork closely with the Development and Marketing team to deliver a high level of awareness of JFCS programs and servicesDevelop an ongoing Planned Giving program leveraging increased support from current donors and creating plans to attract new levels of donors - taking specific responsibility for attracting new younger families in the Sarasota area to support the work of JFCS (community-based fundraising)Support the recruitment of legacy donors and programs in line with external partnershipsAttend a wide range of networking events to promote the message of JFCS and the opportunities available to support the work of the organizationInstrumental in successful execution of all fundraising eventsA deep, abiding passion for the mission and goals of the agencyBelief and support in donor-centered philanthropic cultureHigh emotional intelligence and ethical standardsA high degree of self-motivation, ingenuity and creativityOpen minded, adaptable and collaborativeEnjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic and quickly changing environmentHighly organized with attention to detailExcellent at follow-through and donor customer serviceCommitment to diligently documenting contact information, prospect research, and interaction reportsAbility to write clear, concise, and compelling proposals, stories, letters, reportsProficient in accessing and using donor management softwareOther activities as assigned.REQUIREMENTSMinimum Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Finance or related field.
