**Description**
POSITION SUMMARY; Responsible for representing North American Tank in a professional manner when dealing with all inbound and outbound drivers. Handles all merchandise with reasonable care to ensure limited damage. Maintains cleanliness, proper storage conditions and an accurate inventory. Must work as needed to support positive productivity in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for utilizing company vehicles to pick up and deliver parts as required. This position will also operate various types of material handling equipment to include overhead cranes and electric and gas powered forklifts to load, unload and move material into designated positions.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**
* Load trucks
* Unload trucks manually or with powered equipment such as forklift
* Keeping equipment fueled and cleaned at all times
* Ensuring that all securing/binding equipment is in the vehicles before the start of any trip
* Planning and routing trips to ensure timeliness and logical sequence when time constraints allow
* Reporting any and all accidents immediately
* Reporting any deficiencies with the equipment
* Unloading trucks in a safe and efficient manner
* Pulling parts and distributing to the appropriate area
* Loading materials into vehicles and installing strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
* Other tasks or duties as may be assigned by supervisor
* Greeting all inbound/outbound drivers for all freight delivery and pickups
* Unloading and loading according to company procedures
* Visually inspecting all incoming freight before unloading, noting obvious damage or exceptions on the drivers delivery receipt, utilizing the driver as a witness
* Comparing inbound pack list and delivery receipt to delivered freight and match to company purchase order
* Noting concealed damage or counting variances in the Purchase Order and packing list
* Notifying supervisor immediately of any exceptions and securing supervisors signature (per supervisors inspection) on the Purchase Order
* Informing the Purchasing Agent named on the Purchase order of all exceptions
* Utilizing material handling equipment to unload/load all trucks in a safe and efficient manner
* Supporting the manufacturing process with safe material handling
* Maintaining the receiving dock, outdoor storage and warehouse storage area to utilize space, ensure inventory accuracy and keep areas safe and clear
* Perform other duties as assigned.
**SKILL REQUIREMENTS:**
* Providing accurate accounting of items charged, turning in receipts and expense report as required
* Attention to detail
* Regular contact with all levels of personnel throughout the organization
* Strong team player.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
* High school diploma (or successful completion of equivalency) preferred
* 0-6 months driving experience
* Commercial Drivers License preferred
* Clean driving record
* Basic understanding of North American Tank business (minimum required after 60 days of employment)
* Professional demeanor with exceptional work ethic
* Personal motivation for success
**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**
* The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas were all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops and other mandatory safety equipment.
* For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**
* Sitting or standing as needed.
* Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
* Reaching, pushing, pulling or lifting as required within limits set by Entrans International LLC.
