Human Resources Business Partner

As a member of the HR leadership team for assigned customer groups, consults with internal clients to develop and implement effective human resource programs, policies, and initiatives to sustain a positive work environment.
Participates as an active and involved partner in the development and execution of department-specific and organizational business plans and strategies.
Actively supports other human resources departmental objectives by collaborating with other staff, particularly labor relations. Consult, coach, and train leaders on achieving operational and strategic objectives consistent with the organization's human resource and cultural goals.
Educational Requirements/ Qualifications/Skills:
- Proven experience with and working knowledge of the following is required: practical interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; developing and maintaining collaborative, customer-oriented relationships with leadership and staff; recommending effective solutions to resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies and procedures, regulations or government law; objectively coach leadership and staff through complex difficult and emotional issues.
- Master's degree preferred, or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years experience in a relevant field to be assessed by the AVP - Human Resources or Associate degree with a minimum of four years experience in a relevant field to be evaluated by the AVP - Human Resources or A minimum of six years experience in a relevant field to be assessed by the AVP - Human Resources.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business, H.R. or Organizational Design/Development preferred, or another discipline preferred, or an associate degree with six or more years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources. - Relevant HR certification is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to effectively facilitate and influence individuals at all organizational levels.
- Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state-respective employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent consultative and coaching skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities within a high-pressure environment.
