The Design Engineer will be responsible for working with customers to translate blueprints and drawings in order to create shop drawings for sheet metal products. Create & modify shop drawings using AutoCAD Send final sets of Shop drawings to customer for approval Work with customer to translate architectural blueprints Prepare & modify material Take off's (Pre-RTP) and release through our MRP system Be involved in issues related to design (shop drawings) of products. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design architectural metal shapes in sheet metal. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures regarding Architectural design. Consults with department Leads regarding current and ongoing projects requiring shop drawings. Effectively facilitate meetings between external clients and internal team members Provide metal ceilings technical design support to architectural and sales representatives.
