Senior Network Engineer Cybersecurity & GRC Focus Atlanta, GA $98,175.00-$115,500.00 Location: Atlanta, GA Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Information Technology Industries: Software Development Responsibilities & Technical Skills Configure, manage, and optimize firewall devices (Vyatta, Fortinet FortiGate) across the cloud Enforce security policies to block unauthorized access and mitigate threats Monitor and analyze firewall logs to detect and respond to suspicious activity Conduct vulnerability scans and security assessments to identify and remediate risks Lead incident response efforts and coordinate cross-functional remediation Champion security awareness and provide training across teams Design and implement cloud security architectures in AWS and Google Cloud Platform (VPCs, IAM, security groups, access controls) Leverage cloud-native security tools (WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM) to protect infrastructure Align with compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) and cloud security best practices Collaborate with others to build secure, high-performance network solutions Troubleshoot connectivity issues, latency, and packet loss across distributed systems Monitor and optimize network performance, plan capacity upgrades, and implement alerting systems Maintain detailed documentation of firewall configurations, network diagrams, and security policies Benefits SES hires W2 beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries consultants.
