Overview: Seeking an experienced IT Category Management Senior Consultant in St. Louis, MO. This role requires onsite presence 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all facets of IT Procurement, including Software, Hardware, and Services.
  • Define requirements and strategies for renewals and new deals with stakeholders.
  • Serve as the main POC for procurement-related issues.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories.
  • Identify and prioritize sourcing projects within spend area scope for annual category strategy plan.
  • Oversee project outcomes and provide leadership, development, and coaching for indirect staff.
  • Build relationships with individual contributors and leadership.
  • Conduct Best Practices & Benchmarking, Market Analysis, and Environmental Scanning.
  • Incorporate market intelligence into work plans.
  • Familiarity with Third Party Risk Management and Vendor Management preferred.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Procurement, including Software, Hardware, and Services.
  • Broad-based experience in supply chain, purchasing, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, price analysis, supplier relationship management, and performance management.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple complex projects.
  • Indirect Procurement experience.
  • Effective interaction and influence in a cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Business Intelligence tools like PowerBI.
  • Strong analytical skills to convert data into actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with various aspects of Artificial Intelligence.
