Sustainability Consultant

Meridian Consulting Engineers is a sustainable design and energy engineering consulting firm seeking a sustainability associate for new construction projects. The ideal candidate should have an architectural, engineering, or environmental science degree, or equivalent work experience, and an understanding of the commercial building design and construction process. The candidate must be detail-oriented and have strong writing skills. This position can be part-time or full-time depending on the candidate’s availability. There is also some telecommuting potential. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, environmental science, or equivalent work experience. Experience working on LEED, NGBS, or Energy Star for New Homes projects is preferred Experience in the building industry Technical knowledge and experience with building sciences Ability to read architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings The ability to work independently Commitment to delivering high quality work Proficient with MS Excel and MS Word Additional optional skills and qualifications: LEED AP, LEED Green Rater, HERS Rater Sustainability Consultant MERIDIAN CONSULTING ENGINEERS in Hawthorne, CA
