JOB HIGHLIGHTS

We have an opportunity for a PRN or PTNephrologist to join our team at University of Maryland Rehabilitation &Orthopaedics Institute in Baltimore.

Nephrology position at UMROI? It is likely more structuredas PRN given there are no technical in-house requirements. Nephrology is aconsultant service at UMROI. Nephrologist consults in-house, managehemodialysis within our in-house dialysis unit, and address patient relatedquestions via tigerconnect or phone. No Night Call

. Follow all established policies formaintenance and signing of medical records. Contribute to the achievement ofdepartment goals and adhere to policies, procedures, and quality and safetystandards. Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional servicesperformed.

REQUIREMENTS

• BE/BC in Internal or Nephrology

• Strong inpatient skill set

• Quality-focused team player

• Experience working with advanced practice providers

• Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills

• Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care

• Active (state) license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration

UM Rehabilitation &Orthopaedic Institute provides specialized rehabilitation services in each ofits four 32-bed units. Each unit is staffed by a multidisciplinary team led bya rehabilitation physician collaborating in quality care delivery with thedisciplines of nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy,therapeutic recreational, case management and dietary, in addition toconsulting with other physician services such as ENT and Urology. UMRehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute has provided inpatient services toover 20,000 patients in the past 10 years.
