Your goals, ideas and perspective can help shape our future we look forward to hearing them Under direct supervision, the Material Handler 1 operates forklifts or other mobile equipment to perform routine moving, staging, loading or unloading of materials, supplies or products within or near plant, yard, warehouse or work site.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Transports raw materials, supplies, products and/or finished goods to and from storage or production lines and places them in designated area. 80% of job. Completes all necessary paperwork and transactions, including scanning requirements. 5% of the job. Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities. 10% of the job. Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned. 5% of job.
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent, or attain ACT WorkKeys Assessment at certified job profile skill level. Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications 3+ months of experience operating mobile equipment in a manufacturing or shipping environment Mobile equipment certification Technical Skills & Competencies Basic computer skills Time Management prioritizing work to meet internal and/or external customer demands Detail Oriented ensures accuracy of product and documentation to meet internal and/or external customer demands Good communication skills Mobile equipment operations skills The preceding job responsibilities and tasks were designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates in this job.
