The Opportunity: A well-designed and secure network is critical to move data and enable DoD to achieve its mission, but how can an organization make sure its network will fit its

and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and

sof tware, requires a combination of te chn ical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network, the DoD needs. As a network engineer on our team, you'll work with the DoD to develop a reliable network to support critical missions. You'll collaborate with SMEs, customers, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You'll then share your expertise during the planning of the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you'll put your hardware and

sof tware talents to good use. This is your chance to share your experience with backbone networks, cloud te chn ologies, and core networking while broadening your network engineering work. Join us as we help protect our country's defense networks.

Join us. The world can't wait. You Have: 7+ years of experience with designing, deploying, and advanced support of multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks

5+ years of experience with deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network and security equipment and solutions, including Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Dell, HPE, or VMware

5+ years of experience with documenting complex network and security systems and procedures to implement and troubleshoot the systems

Experience with secret classified networks

Knowledge of security, routing, and switching protocols, including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, or L3VPNs

Ability to travel 25% of the time CONUS

Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree

Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 or 8570 IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of hire

Nice If You Have: Experience with DoD networks

Experience with deploying and configuring

Sof tware Defined Wide Area Networks

( SD-WAN )

solutions

Experience with operating, deploying, or administering Linux and Unix systems

Experience with applying STIGs to systems or security hardening of systems

Experience with operating, deploying, or administering Windows systems and services

Experience with Commer cia l or DoD Cloud networks

Experience with F5 systems

CCNA, CCNP, VMWare, JN CIA , or JNCPCertification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
