As a Systems Technician Intern, you'll have the opportunity to sharpen your technical skills and contribute to exciting projects that make a real impact. This is a great opportunity to intern for a large construction company with end users working throughout Southern California. The Systems Technician Intern, under the direction and mentorship of the Senior System Lead, will work with end users to replace their existing mobile devices and process shipment/receipt of equipment. This position will need to coordinate with other employees regarding their requests and collect/convey information on the progress of their submissions. Additionally, this person will work on archival/disposal processing of equipment that is determined to be End of Life.

Position Requirements

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware-related issues via phone, FaceTime, Teams, etc.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware and software
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues
• Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance
• Provide training and support to team members on the use of company systems and software
• Perform system backups and maintain accurate records
• Research and recommend solutions for technical problems
• Inventory Management: shipping and receiving; inventory audits; and inventory refurbishing
• Technical Tasks: RMM Deployments; Software Updates; and System Configurations
• Helpdesk Tasks: User Coordination; Basic Troubleshooting; and Phone Support
• Required occasionally to lift and/or move up 50 pounds

Qualifications:

• In-process degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Knowledge of computer systems and software
• Knowledge of network and system security
• Familiarity with hardware and software installation
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task and remain calm during high volume times
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology

This is a part-time internship position located in Valencia, CA and requires US work authorization. Applicants will be subject to a background check and pre-employment drug testing.
