Veris Manufacturing (an Emerald Technologies company) has an exciting opportunity for aProcess Engineer to join its Brea, CA team The Process Engineer is responsible for identifying and reviewing customer specifications and drawings to determine applicable process steps and cycle/lead times required to achieve product conformance in the manufacturing of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA), sub-assemblies, cable and harnesses. Come and work in a supportive, fun team atmosphere where the work is meaningful, and careers have no limits Responsibilities of the Process Engineer: Review Customer documents to ensure accurate and reliable documentation is received. Perform time estimates for manufacturing and test processes by utilizing customer provided data to be utilized for quotation purposes. Perform estimation of chemicals and other materials required by reviewing customer provided data to be utilized for quotation purposes. Assist in the preparation of proposals and contracts. Collect information from Customer documentation and/or cross-functional departments to meet quotation and production build needs. Assemble information and input from Engineering and other departments as necessary for specific tooling and secondary operation needs. Conducts timely Quality review of associated data, including data utilized to support builds, to meet business and operations requirements.

Qualifications of the Process Engineer:

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field preferred. However an Associates’ degree and prior experience in contract manufacturing or similar technical field may be acceptable. Experience with PCBA engineering or manufacturing. Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry, medical, or another regulated industry. Experience with IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, and Space Addendum requirements. Knowledge of SMT machines, thru-hole assembly and solder processes a plus, but not mandatory. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
