
Environmental Service Technician

Job Summary:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Use hand or lightweight powered cleaning equipment to clean floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
- Dispose of waste materials according to established procedures.
- Restock cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needed repairs.
- Follow all safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies and requests from hospital staff.
- Maintain records of cleaning activities and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of special events as needed.
- The position involves working in a healthcare environment, including patient rooms, operating rooms, and other medical facilities.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials, with appropriate protective equipment provided.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role, preferably in a healthcare setting, is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand or lightweight powered cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Knowledge of safety and infection control procedures.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to pass any required government background check
