Description

The Engineering Intern's responsibilities include assistance in Assembly Services operations, including product design/development, customer quote/contract review, technical assistance, quality assurance, custom solution objective development and achievement, and production planning. This internship will also provide hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, including process improvement, quality control, and project management.

This is a full-time, paid internship for the duration of the summer (approx. 10-12 weeks), with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of assembly solutions
  • Use CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings
  • Assist in the development and implementation of manufacturing processes
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
  • Support the design and implementation of new equipment and tools
  • Participate in quality control activities to ensure product standards are met
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to brainstorm and solve design challenges
  • Document and present design ideas and findings to the team
Education, Experience, Skills, and Competencies

Education and Work Experience:
  • Currently enrolled a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (required)
Skills & Competencies:
  • Proficiency with CAD programs and analytical software
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with associates from diverse backgrounds with diverse priorities.
  • Strong desire to learn, curious, and motivated by possibilities.
