We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Armed Protection Officer with a law enforcement or military background to join our team in California. This position requires a valid California Guard Card for armed guards and offers a rewarding career protecting hospitals and their valuable assets.

Position Overview:

We are seeking dedicated Armed Protection Officers to join our healthcare security team. The ideal candidate will provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities: Hospital Security : Provide high level security services to hospitals, protecting patients, staff, and assets, including equipment and medical supplies. Security and Surveillance : Conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, and use CCTV systems to maintain a strong security presence. Threat Assessment : Assess potential security threats and respond appropriately to minimize risks. Maintain vigilance and respond to incidents as necessary. Access Control:

Control access to secure areas, verify credentials, and enforce security protocols to maintain the safety of the premises. Emergency Response:

Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as medical incidents and security breaches. Administer first aid and coordinate with emergency services when required. Report Writing : Maintain detailed incident reports and document all security related activities accurately. Prepare reports for clients, supervisors, and law enforcement as necessary. Client Interaction:

Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and visitors, offering exceptional customer service while addressing their security concerns. Maintain the upmost discretion and confidentiality of all client/patient information. Equipment Maintenance : Ensure all firearms and security equipment are properly maintained, serviced, and in good working order. Possess and maintain proficiency with authorized firearms and equipment.

Qualifications: Must possess valid California (BSIS) Guard Registration card and Permit for Exposed Firearms. Law enforcement background (active officer, retired officer, Correctional officer in the state of California) OR Military background coupled with security experience. High school diploma or equivalent. CPR/AED certification preferred. Knowledge of security procedures and protocols. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and de-escalation techniques. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

This position involves climbing stairs, regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking. Some kneeling, stooping, crouching, or crawling may be involved. May involve moving and/or lifting at least 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Please note that for this position, candidates must possess prior experience in law enforcement or military law enforcement. This entails having served in an official capacity within a law enforcement agency or the US Military law enforcement. We regret to inform you that roles as a security guard, whether armed or unarmed, do not fulfill this requirement on their own. Additional Information:

This position may require working in varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be subject to a background check and drug screening.
