RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and submit for Quality Manager's approval quality documentation/procedures such as FMEAs, control plans, procedures, work instructions, etc.

Usually as a part of a cross-functional team. Customer and supplier contact and servicing. Assist in the coordination and performance of PPAPs for new and revised programs/products.

Responsible for submitting sample parts for customer approval. Assist in the evaluation of scrap and rework conditions and investigate root causes, containment, and permanent corrective actions. Investigates quality problems within the plant and at vendor and customer locations as needed. Assist in developing and implementing a system for defining and classifying product quality characteristics.

Performs follow-up on that system to ensure uniform applications and compliance by both salary and hourly personnel. Assist in the coordination and maintenance of the measurement system. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Two to three years experience in Quality Engineering or a strong production background.

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

BA or BS Degree with working knowledge of computer software, SPC, problem-solving, and print reading.
