SR. Chargemaster Analyst

One of our large healthcare clients in Camden, NJ is looking for a Chargemaster Analyst to join their Revenue Integrity team This person will be responsible for ensuring proper revenue generation, improving all aspects of revenue cycle operation (coding, charge capture and process flow-through) and maintaining compliance with third-party payer requirements.

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Working in 1-2 PB (physician billing) work queues & 1-2 HB work queues (hospital billing)

- Retrospective auditing to ensure capturing of all charges (PB & HB)

- Review of PB's current compliance policies and procedures relative all charges/pricing related to PB services and making sure it's consistent with CPT relative codes

-Will work with IT team to assist with the build outs when codes don't match

- Identifying inconsistencies with CDM descriptions & front end descriptions and associated CPT codes

- Reviewing patient friendly descriptions

Epic

Masters Degree
- Bachelor's Degree OR 5 years of charge master analyst experience -- Bachelors highly preferred

- Active coding certification (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, CIC , COC, CPC-P)

- 3-4 years of experience in hospital operations & payment systems (preferred as a chargemaster analyst)

- Experience in revenue cycle/revenue integrity (preferred medical billing experience - specifically in Medicare)

- Understanding of CDM methodology and various coding systems used in healthcare, financial management and reporting

- Medical terminology/anatomical background

- Experience working with an EMR system (Epic preferred)

- Experience in systems such as Craneware & 3M
