Job Title: Clinic Nurse - MissouriEmployment Classification: Non-exempt, Hourly Status: Full-Time, hours are M-Th 8am-5:30pTravel Required: Yes - Jefferson City occasionally Position SummaryThe Clinic Nurse is responsible for demonstrating knowledge and application of job duties within scope of practice and functions under the direction of their manager(s) and/or Director(s); respectfully interacts with all levels of staff; provides direct nursing care during assigned duty hours; participates in department activities; promotes independence; adherence to the attendance policy; encourages socialization; advocates for the quality of life of our patients while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory and organizational standards; supports the company's core values.Summary of Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversees appointment schedules and ensures preferences are given in urgent and emergency situations.Maintains orderly and efficient flow of patients.Prepares testing trays and materials for intradermal, penicillin, and anesthetic testing.Performs skin prick testing, multi-testing, intradermal testing and pulmonary function testing.Mixes down patient antigens according to clinic protocol.Administers medications and nebulizer treatments per physician order and/or standing orders.Administers immunotherapy according to clinic protocols under supervision of physician.Assists in reordering antigen from lab for in-house clinic patients and patients receiving injections at home.Assists in preparing vials to be mailed to patients receiving injections at home.Orders supplies or assists in maintaining inventory of stock for preparing orders.Reviews dictation and places in charts.Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls.
