Owner Relations Analyst – Job Description

Scout Energy is a private energy investment firm that acquires, operates, and improves upstream conventional oil and gas properties for institutional investors. Scout’s business is both the management of the private energy funds and the operations of the oil and gas assets it owns. The current employee base is approximately 1100 with 185 employees in the Dallas (HQ) office.

Scout is seeking an Owner Relations Analyst to develop, support and enhance the growing company’s functions pertaining to handling owner inquiries and discrepancies. This self-starter professional is able to work independently with good decision-making skills. The Owner Relations Analyst will gather and analyze complex data from a wide range of sources, all while being aligned to the company’s goals, objectives and values. This position will report to Scout’s Land Manager and Owner Relations Lead as a part of our Land Department.

Duties & Responsibilities Facilitate positive discussions with owners to determine issues and provide solutions to address those issues Maintain accurate data entry into company’s logs to ensure inquiries are handled efficiently and completely Receive and respond in a timely manner to telephone calls, messages and emails Open, sort and respond to mailings Prepare routing documents for review and approval Maintain name, address and tax identification for lessors, royalty owners, overriding royalty interest owners and working interest partner ownerships Analyze legal documentation as it pertains to Deed and Distribution Succeed with transferring parties concerning additional documentation needed for dispersal Ensure all owner inquiries are addressed and resolved within a timely manner Elevate issues to Analysts when appropriate Communicate with Division Order Analysts, Lease Analysts and Revenue Accountants concerning owner concerns as deemed necessary for conclusion Demonstrate knowledge of State Distribution of Real Property Laws on County Levels Work in internal application for placing interest in suspense, example returned and stale dated checks Research pertaining to owners with bad or no address Participate in special projects teams Skills & Specifications

Strong written, verbal and listening skills, must be comfortable talking on the phone Detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills, with a patient, positive and pleasant personality Ability to multi-task various projects at once while simultaneously engaging with owners and employees in a positive manner Comfortable working with owners, working interest owners and attorneys Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office systems Able to prioritize when given multiple projects Education & Qualifications

High School Diploma Three to five years in an owner relations or customer service role Proven experience suggesting and implementing process improvements to increase effectiveness of owner relations procedures Able to work in a team-oriented environment
