Please click on the link below for additional information regarding Air Liquide Advanced Materials: **Job Responsibilities** Located in Branchburg, NJ The Global Transportation Leader will oversee the domestic and international transportation processes for all the ALAM manufacturing sites in North America and Asia. This person is responsible for the adherence to all hazardous material shipping requirements from our vendors to our sites, shipments to our customers and any interplant shipments between our sites. The Leader will be the functional expert for trade compliance and all modes of transportation for ALAM, and is accountable for developing a program that continuously increases the teams knowledge base. This person is expected to develop a strong team into a world-class logistics organization through developing the people, processes, and systems to ensure success. All documented procedures that are in place will be reviewed for adherence and areas of improvement, with the Leader creating procedures (or coaching supervisors in doing so) to drive the organization towards best practices in our transportation activities. The Leader will oversee performance of transportation service providers and drive cost efficiencies through improved carrier selection, improved rates, and other optimization projects. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Responsible for ALAM adherence to all hazardous materials shipping and handling procedures across the US sites. * The US Logistics Manager and APAC Logistics Manager will report to the role * Manage Import and Export procedures, performance and relationships with the Freight Forwarders and Brokers. * Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing of carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs * Work with Accounts Payable and our vendors to ensure accurate and timely freight and transportation services payments. * Ensure that proper training is completed and maintained across the shipping teams for DOT 49 CFR, ICAO/IATA, IMDG, and equivalent regulations throughout Asia. * Develop training materials & platform to broadly educate Logistics Teams at each site on local and global regulations, allowing for site teams to focus on day-to-day operations without requiring the Leaders input on all situations. * Support development, training and feedback for Logistics Supervisors, Leads, and Technicians responsible for international and domestic shipping and receiving activities. Drive continuous improvement and understanding of best practices throughout the organization. * Support adjacent functions (EHS, Product Management, Customer Service, Sales) with transportation expertise relevant for new product introductions and customer requests * Represent ALAM within Air Liquide Group for projects and inquiries related to transportation and trade compliance topics * Ensure timely and accurate completion of import and export filings, customs transactions, and any other activities needed to ensure effective international shipping * Monitor GHS labeling requirements and product labels to ensure regulatory compliance * Monitor accuracy of shipping, lead time, weight, product classifications, and other ERP master data to ensure effective operations * Monitor on time performance of carrier network to understand accurate lead times and then drive on time delivery performance across the network. * Manage & investigate transportation claims made by carriers, affiliates, and customers * Create and maintain KPIs to understand the key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement activities. * Drive cost efficiency projects in support of annual objectives * Successfully complete all assigned trainings **Required Qualifications** * Bachelors degree in supply chain management, business or a related field * 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated influencing skills to work cross functionally in a matrix environment * Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel (or Google equivalent) * Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capability * Experience leading teams * Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment * Certified in 49 CFR, 15 CFR, DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in chemicals industry * Experience in or supporting the electronics industry * Experience with logistics management of hazardous materials * Strong ERP system experience Cookie stricly required for the proper running of the website
