Summary:

  • Technical support for engineering related issues in supporting Operations Group (maintenance, production, tooling, set-up).

(Shift: Day, as needed)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following:

  • Work in conjunction/consultation with corporate engineering group to support local facilities
  • Lead Engineering support for Operations Group (maintenance, production, tooling, set-up)
  • Support maintenance group in technical issues (breakdowns, preventative maintenance)
  • Assist with design and procurement of tooling and fixtures for production as needed
  • Support on-boarding of new products and programs to achieve quality requirements
  • Support local equipment installations, capital improvements, and implement corporate Engineering initiatives
  • Work with the Operations Group for line optimization and Continuous Improvement projects
  • Help maintain item master, BOM and router creation in the ERP system.
  • Execute Engineering Change Notices when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment (3-5yrs). Preferred experience in Tool and Die, roll forming, stamping.

Skills:

AutoCAD and Inventor

Microsoft Office, MS Project

Continuous improvement, Six Sigma

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, sit for long periods. Use small tools and lift 50 pounds.

Work Environment: Manufacturing and mill environment, office (some travel required)
