Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Advises employees and leadership on the interpretation of leave policies, programs, and procedures, including those in the company's Employee Resource Guide (ERG).
  • Collaborate with external Company leave partner.
  • Stay current and up to date on all applicable federal and state leave of absence regulations.
  • Educate leadership and employees on LOA policies & procedures ensuring compliance with federal and state leave laws and meeting business requirements.
  • Responsible for maintenance of absence management process handbook.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service support and meet the day-to-day Leave of Absence needs of employees.
  • Provides feedback and information to the Leaves Specialist III and/or Sr regarding daily absence issues presented by employees.
  • Responsible for managing the Arthrex HR Medical Leaves inbox.
  • Monitors and maintains Leaves of Absence intranet and update Forms & Documents as needed.
  • With supervision, may lead or assist with managing leaves and resolving employee issues.
  • Participates in weekly/bi-weekly LOA meetings with Employee Relations.
  • May provide general administrative support as needed including special projects as assigned.
Education/ Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • One year of Human Resources experience required.
  • Absence management experience preferred.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
Skills:
  • Ability to effectively manage one's time and handle multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office programs required.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly to perform most job functions.
  • Ability to communicate ideas, results, recommendations, and status effectively in oral and written forms.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to speak with employees at all levels within the organization.
Knowledge:

Basic knowledge of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Short Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD).

Basic knowledge of general Company HR policies.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and exercise good judgment and reasoning required.

Discretion/ Latitude:

Work is performed under close supervision.

Follows specific detailed instructions/processes.
