Description

Dakota Bodies is now hiring 1st and 2nd Shift Brake Press Operators. New to the Brake Press or a seasoned veteran, we are willing to consider anyone eager enough to learn - as long as you can lift up to 50 pounds

Starting pay: $20.00 per hour, DOE plus Night Shift Differential: $2.00 per hour

Job Duties and Tasks

\t * Sets stops on machine bed, changes die, and adjusts components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes.
\t * Operates power press, power brake, apron brake, swaging machine, foot-powered press, hydraulic press, or arbor press according to specifications.
\t * Installs, aligns, and secures gears, holding fixtures, dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
\t * Plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal.
\t * Inspects workpiece for defects.
\t * Measures workpiece and verifies dimensions and weight, using micrometer, template, straightedge, and scale.
\t * Selects and positions flat, block, radius, or special purpose die sets into ram and bed of machine, using hoist, crane, measuring instruments and hand tools.
