The Purchasing Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will work closely with campus-based directors of school operations, other members of the Operations Division, members of the Finance Division, and other staff across the Network to ensure that we obtain crucial goods and services in an efficient and timely manner, while also ensuring purchase requests contain compliant support documentation and adherence to all STEM Prep procurement rules and fiscal priorities. The Purchasing Manager is a critical player on our Operations team, helping to ensure that our instructional and support staff across both the Middle and High School campuses and Network can focus on what matters most: successfully guiding our students through their academic journey. Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely purchase order processing for both the Middle and High School campuses and the Network Execute batch processes according to our communicated Purchasing Service Level Agreement Uphold/enforce organizational policies and public school procurement rules and secure proper approvals for purchase order requests Manage effective and efficient communication within our schools and Network departments Build, develop and manage vendor relationships Communicate status updates with all impacted parties regarding the purchase and delivery of goods and services Accurately review Purchase Order aged encumbrance reports Support accounting function with maintaining accurate, organized purchasing data and compliant support documentation Assist with the logistics of key school events (Orientation, Professional Development Sessions, Open Houses, etc.) as needed Manage the supply storage systems and supply inventory for the Middle and High School campuses Qualifications: 1-3 years of relevant experience required Unquestioned integrity and commitment to STEM Preps mission, vision and core value A high level of personal integrity Advanced verbal and written communication skills with a decisive, customer service orientation Open minded team player who is mission driven Strong desire to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community members Openness to learning new skills and to receiving feedback on issues that will facilitate growth and achievement of our school community Proactive problem-solver that thrives in a deadline driven environment Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously Meticulous organizational skills, strong work ethic, disciplined approach to work, and attention to detail Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google Docs Customer service and student centric approach towards professional responsibilities Professional, warm, and friendly demeanor Previous experience in an education/charter school setting is preferred Apply for this job Parent Advisory CommitteeCoronavirus/COVID-19 Information for Families2021/2022 School Year Tennessees highest performing network serving diverse communities100% College Acceptance | $3 Million in ScholarshipsWe teachOUR MISSIONSTEM Preparatory Academ...
