Your Mission
REALIZE YOUR TALENT
The Buyer Planner coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials for specified product lines within the company, according to production schedule. This position is the focus point for Inside Sales Representatives for any customer demand, including trading items.
- Plans production requirements for producing products for short and mid-term periods.
- Plans and schedules building of sub-assemblies and complete units to meet customer ship dates, managing established lead times, sequences and level/load capacity for products
- Prepares purchase orders and sends to qualified suppliers, taking into considering the supplier capacity. Follows up on purchases, status of delivery and maintains computerized procurement records as requested.
- Manages MO/DO proposals, releases and follow-up. Uses ERP to manage action messages and follow-up.
- Proposes any improvement in process and organization.
- Reviews daily supply/planning to ensure materials are available to meet promise dates to customers.
- Revises production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions; collaborates with management, marketing, sales, production, and engineering.
KNOW THE REQUIREMENTS
- To comply with export control laws, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Advanced skills in Excel spreadsheets
- SAP experience or worked with similar ERP systems
- Ability to work on-site four days per week, one day remote
