The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of technical products and system, resolving highly complex technical issues, and conducting advanced research.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Designs products and systems, which can be complex in nature necessitating the expert application of engineering knowledge
Responsible for the preparation, review and approval of drawings, models, sketches, equipment lists, Bills of Material, manufacturing work instructions, standard operating practices and verbal instructions
Responsible for planning and self-monitoring daily engineering and design work assignments
Controls and monitors job costs and schedules to meet completion dates, customer technical specifications and internal technical specifications
Develops and uses engineering standards (electrical, mechanical, etc.), procedures and forms for engineering design and production fabrications. Writes and administers work instructions
Supplies engineering advice and counsel to engineers, Project Managers, and customer service personnel
Represents the company for outside customer discussions and technical reviews
Originates and applies new engineering methods and procedures to lower cost and improve quality
May provide technical support and proposal and job estimates to Sales
Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions
Qualifications

  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering field.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Computer literacy and competency with Windows-based and CAD applications
  • Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Project and others Microsoft Office components
  • Multi-tasking abilities essential
  • Effective communication skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills a must
  • May require PLC programming experience
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE BS degree in electronics, instrumentation and/or mechanical design and 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Must Haves Water experience Experience working in a manufacturing environment SAP experience Experience with creating PNID drawings Working with Designers Experience creating complex systems – water/fluid Experience using Auto Desk Inventor a plus CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS EIT or PE PHYSICAL DEMANDS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions
