We are here today, will be here tomorrow, and are a thriving community of over 2,000 risk management professionals.This is just one of the several exciting career opportunities that are currently available.Job Summary:The Physical Security Technical Specialist, assigned to one of Pinkerton's largest global clients, will be responsible for supporting the Global Systems and Technology department through system administration, configuration management, routine maintenance, performance management, and system integrity troubleshooting. The Specialist provides technical assistance to regional locations for all their physical security technology needs. This position will have a hybrid work schedule (in office/remote) and can be located in either Washington D.C. or the San Francisco Bay Area, California.Essential Functions: Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence. Support management with project planning and coordination to meet commitments on time and within resource limitations including management approvals, requirements, priorities, and progress monitoring. Evaluate project status and resource utilization, implement changes as needed, review status reports prepared by project personnel, and modify schedules or plans as required. Meet regularly with client representatives for status updates, addresses any actual or potential problems, provide support during service level changes, support security planning, assessments, and surveys, and review and update post orders. Implement, maintain, audit, and improve electronic security technology including security systems, servers, software, and systems integration including communication and intelligence platforms. Support the administration and documentation of electronic security technology as well as provide training and support. Interact with third-party companies and vendors with regards to electronic security technology projects, service, and maintenance. Quality control of electronic security systems installations. Manage and prioritize multiple large safety and security projects. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement electronic security technology programs and projects. Advance the client's safety and security technology environment through the implementation of industry standards and best practices. Serve as a subject matter expert. All other duties, as assigned.Education, Experience, and Certifications:Bachelor's degree preferred with three or more years of in-depth experience in a security role, which included a combination of electronic security technology and project management plus physical security and security systems support within a regional large-scale multi-location environment. Able to analyze complex situations and recommend solutions. Strong project management skills. Regular computer usage. Occasional reaching and lifting of small objects and operating office equipment. Ability to adjust focus between close and distance vision. Shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure the successful completion of work assignments. Frequent sitting, standing, and/or walking. Ability to be on-call as a part of a security on-call rotation and to work occasional nights and weekends as needed. Travel as required.
