Job Overview NYSERDA seeks an independent and self-motivated individual to join its Clean Transportation team to implement and coordinate innovative programs that advance the deployment of zero-emission medium & heavy-duty vehicles, light-duty electric vehicles (EVs), and EV charging stations in New York State. This role will require frequent coordination with internal NYSERDA administrative counterparts in addition to close working relations with public and private sector partners.The successful candidate will also support the Clean Transportation Team’s established incentive programs by streamlining processes, spearheading operations improvement initiatives and developing program changes that respond to market dynamics and New York State mandates. The position also includes opportunities to shape clean transportation policy development at the State and Regional levels. Clean Transportation initiatives this candidate may interact with include:

New York State Truck Voucher Incentive Program Drive Clean Rebate Charge Ready NY DC Fast Charging Program Innovation initiatives around electric vehicles and public transportation Additional policy initiatives This position requires someone with strong project management skills, attention to detail and interest in energy and transportation. In addition, solid interpersonal communication, time management and problem-solving skills are a must.Established technical knowledge of EVs, Clean Transportation policy, and/or environmental policy is preferred. The successful candidate will serve as project manager on several projects/programs at once and be responsible for overseeing various workstreams that ensure the successful operations of the programs. Experience with business operations, customer-facing programs, program design and public administration are preferred.The Project Manager will be expected to travel approximately 5-10% of professionally committed time to meet with team members, stakeholders and potential partners. Primary Responsibilities

Manage a wide range of complex clean transportation projects throughout the project lifecycle: Oversee program implementation contractor workstreams Provide project management and contracting support Maintain key program documents, agreements, applications and other documentation Respond to external inquiries about program status and funding Coordination with internal administrative teams, IT systems, and data teams Manage program databases (internal and external) Support NYSERDA's electric truck and bus, EV, and EV charging programs throughout the program development and execution process and collaborate with other agencies (NYSDEC, NYSDOT, DPS, NYPA) on program development and execution Identify and pursue opportunities for program improvement including ways NYSERDA can better address equity in transportation Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of relevant experience managing complex projects in the clean transportation space and a bachelor’s degree Demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of innovative and complex projects independently and simultaneously under deadline, including developing and managing workplans and budgets and overseeing consultant work products Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and manage both contractors and coordinate with internal teams Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills along with proficiency in MS Office Suite Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment
