Summary of Classification

The Technical Trainer manages the activities involved in the preparation, delivery and assessment of training and development programs for Wachter NSP/LBU. This role consults with internal clients to address requests, creates and manages training initiatives and programs for Boot Camp, Security/Alarm training and Field Technicians. The Technical Trainer is responsible for training in a job-specific area along with focusing on teaching hands-on or on-the-job capabilities for field technicians. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for talent development, a high level of flexibility, commitment, and the ability to train and coach within a high paced environment. (Relocation available.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the process of developing training curriculum and delivery for the Boot Camp, Security and Alarm Training and other field resource development programs.
    • Deliver the content to field technicians and trainees followed by live hands-on demonstrations and training.
    • Assist with creating / maintaining course curriculum and content.
    • Facilitate and coordinate with facilitators, operations, and Technical Trainers to; ensure a World-Class program for training and development primarily for field resources, but for office personnel as well.
    • Follow-up periodically with trained personnel to ensure knowledge is retained, put into practice, and identify areas for improvement in the content and delivery.
    • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your Supervisor may assign.
Skills and Education:
    • 10+ years of field installation experience in one or more of the following technologies: - Structured Cabling - Access Control/Video Surveillance - Intrusion/Fire Alarm
    • High school diploma or GED
    • College education / degree highly desirable
    • Knowledge of the client's environment.
    • Highly proficient with use of personal computer, including email, spreadsheets and database Microsoft Office programs
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational and follow-up skills
    • Adhere to all Wachter Policies
    • Great communication skills; verbal and written
