This position is full-time Monday-Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at THE VILLAGES - 1049 LAKE SUMT, FL.
We offer weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am - 5:00pm EST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted onsite.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Handle both Inbound calls and walk in inquiries regarding member benefits and claims.
- Contact care providers (doctor's offices) on behalf of the customer to assist with appointment scheduling or member education.
- Assist customers in navigating UnitedHealth Group websites, encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient in using our tools.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert or mentor to other team members.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ years of Customer Service experience
- Reside within 30 miles radius to the office located at 1049 Lake Sumter, FL.
- Ability to work onsite full time, Monday-Friday during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
- 1+ years working knowledge of electronic medical records software applications
- Health Care/Insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)
- Demonstrated ability to listen skillfully, collect relevant information, build rapport, and respond to customers in a compassionate manner.
