SMT Operator

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate surface mount assembly equipment such as pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens.
  • Load programs, set parameters, and perform regular maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect and verify components and materials for accuracy and quality before use in production.
  • Monitor production runs to ensure equipment operates efficiently and meets production goals.
  • Conduct regular checks and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Document production activities, equipment settings, and quality control data accurately.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
  • Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Prefer someone with prior experience as an SMT operator or in a similar role in electronics manufacturing.
  • Prefer someone with familiarity with surface mount assembly processes and equipment (pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, reflow ovens).
  • Prefer someone with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Must be good with computers and have some familiarity with manufacturing software.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the entire 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire 8-hour shift.
Benefits/Compensation
  • Full Time
  • Pay Rate is $12.50 per hour
  • 1st Shift
  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
  • Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts
  • Temp-To-Hire
