The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of roadway design fundamentals and be able to direct and check the work of other staff. The candidate will be knowledgeable on all aspects of highway plans production, will be able to function as a Highway Design Task leader on conventional and design-build projects, and may serve as a Deputy Project Manager on small, moderate, or large scoped multi-disciplined projects with the responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to roadway design.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of seven years relevant experience
  • PE licensure or the ability to obtain their PE within 6 months of hire
  • Proven experience providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff. This includes reviewing others' work for technical accuracy
  • Proficient in production software and construction document production
  • Must possess strong oral and written communications skills. Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner
