ROLE: The Customer Service Assistant supports the Customer Service Manager in assisting him/her in assigned duties related to the Customer service department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Prepare evaluation books for customers (either electronically or hard copies) and then ship to the customer as requested. Follow up with sales director with the shipping information and update evaluation report in the server when books are finished
  • FAA documentation including making copies of documents received, placing copies in the vault and others for engineer's utilization, and maintaining a log of the documents (including electronic filing)
  • Prepare quotes and submit to customers, process approvals, prepare for shipment
  • Scanning and indexing documentation
  • Performs other duties, as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
EXPERIENCE
  • At least 1-3 years of administrative support experience in a fast-paced office environment
KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES
  • Language/Communication Skills: English: ability to read and interpret documents such as emails, report and correspondence. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft suite Outlook, Word and especially Excel
  • Math Skills: Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to problem solve and provide solutions.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary, with minimal supervisory direction. Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must work well in a team environment and independently.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position will work primarily in an office environment with low noise level.
