Position Overview:

Pure is seeking an experienced Security Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Security Architect, you will build, operate, and maintain infrastructure and tools for both traditional on premises and cloud. A successful candidate for this role will continuously improve the security of our infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline, by resolving gaps, streamlining redundancies, and automating all that can be automated.

Responsibilities:
  • Consult with development teams on security risks in designs, makes design recommendations and provide a security release gate
  • Leverage tooling to identify and remediate excessive entitlements, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations
  • Develop security policies and standards and help teams to adopt policies and infrastructure to support those policies
  • Engage with multiple development teams to ensure adherence to secure development standards
  • Run threat modeling across our cloud services and infrastructure
  • Work with external vendors on security tools
  • Work with development teams to help define scope for pentests
  • Research new security best practices and vulnerabilities in the industry and development action/adoption plans around them
Qualifications:
  • Have a solid background building secure and reliable software systems
  • Experience with languages such as C++, Python, and Java
  • Possess knowledge of securing, preferably both on-prem and cloud-based, applications, systems, databases, and processes
  • Familiarity with security considerations within the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • 7+ years of experience in software development
  • 7+ years of working in security operations or security related development
  • Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment

You will be based in Santa Clara. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.

Pay Range:
USD $207,000.00 - USD $312,000.00 /Yr.

Pay Transparency Statement:

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
