The Regulatory Analyst is responsible for all regulatory and credit quality compliance activity. Reviews loan agreements for financial covenants and accounts for said covenants in the Bank's monitoring system. Works with Lending staff on satisfying financial monitoring exception items. Monitors and updates borrowing bases and financial covenants using the Bank's core banking system and any ancillary systems. Performs quarterly financial covenant monitoring reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and updates the Bank's collateral tracking system for compliance and quality control of financial monitoring exception items.
  • Updates and reconciles collateral based loan requirements from updated borrowing base certificates in IBS for commitment availability and multiple collateral values. Updates necessary exception items in LQAS for the borrowing base.
  • Identifies borrower financial document reporting deficiencies and discrepancies, and assists lending staff with resolution.
  • Helps Loan Officers and Lending Assistants with financial tracking questions and in getting exceptions cleared.
  • Reviews and updates IBS and Arcs for loan risk rating changes. Performs Arcs action requests to ensure proper reporting of loan risks.
  • Reviews and analyzes loan approval documents and loan agreements for financial monitoring and financial covenant requirements and reports any discrepancies to the loan officer.
  • Updates CASH spreading software with defaulted covenant information where appropriate and notifies loan officer of any covenant breaches.
  • Performs quarterly financial covenant monitoring scrub and assists to compile data in CASH noting any waiver, forbearance, or red ink memo information. This reporting information is available to the board of directors, examiners, and auditors.
  • Sets up initial financial monitoring requirements from the daily note list and requests any financial underwriting documentation not yet received and imaged into the borrower file.
  • Downloads and tracks all available financial documents that are used in underwriting from the loan pipeline in Arcs.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with coursework in Finance or Accounting strongly preferred. Equivalent experience in lieu of education will be considered.
  • Either through related work experience or education, at least one year of financial statement analysis with a demonstrated knowledge of financial statements and financial covenant ratios.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.
  • Excellent analytical, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability and attention to detail.
