We are looking for: Emergency Veterinary Technician This is a full-time, swing shift, position of four- ten hour shifts, including one weekend evening from 6pm-4a, subject to change based on hospital needs.Never a dull moment in the ER Are you someone who likes to be constantly moving from one thing to another? Every day is different and there's never the same case twice What you'll do: Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather additional information as necessaryEvaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessmentPartner with patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication and nursing care concernsProvide client education including, but not limited to: home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patientsAssist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and proceduresProvide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patientsInduce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation proceduresPerform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testingCompensation: The hiring range for this position is $27.25 - $44.00/hour based on skillset and experience. We support our evening caregivers with lucrative shift differentials: -Hours worked between 8pm-11:59pm = base pay +$4/hour-Hours worked between 12am-8am = base pay +$6/hour-Hours worked on Saturday and Sunday (day or night) = base pay + $3/hour + any applicable differentials.
